The Paramount & State Theatres stand tall as the crown jewels of Congress Avenue because of the support of individuals like you. Austin’s most historic venues bring live theatre, music, comedy, dance, spoken word, children’s programming and film to the heart of a rapidly changing downtown.
And downtown is growing - the buildings are getting taller, the restaurants are getting fancier. It seems as though plans for new high-rise condos are unveiled daily, forever changing the landscape of our city. But no matter how many stories high they build those condos, I’m committed to preserving the thousands of stories that have taken place within the walls of the Paramount - from the teenagers who came here on their first dates to the parents bringing their children to the theatre for the first time. Everyone has their favorite story to tell about the Paramount or State Theatre. Is your story worth saving? Your donation ensures that the Paramount & State Theatres won’t end up at the bottom of a new hotel or condominium complex.
